Conservation land will be managed for passive or recreational activities,
where appropriate, as well as to promote biodiversity.
Hours
- Conservation areas are open from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset year-round.
Vehicles
- Off road use by motorized vehicles, ATV’s, dirt bikes, motorcycles and snowmobiles is prohibited.
- Automobiles are allowed in designated parking areas only.
- Night time parking is prohibited.
Animals
- Target shooting and trapping is prohibited.
- Control of pets must conform to town leash law regulations.
- The introduction of any wildlife or plants to conservation land is prohibited without written approval of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
Property & Plants
- All dumping or leaving of litter/garbage is prohibited.
- The cutting of trails and erection of signs on conservation land is prohibited without written approval of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
- The removal, cutting or damaging of trees, shrubs, plants, flowers and fungi is prohibited without the written approval of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
Alcohol
- Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited.
Camping and Fires
- Camping or use of conservation land by large groups is prohibited without written approval of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
- No open fires or cooking fires without the written approval of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
Other Activities Permitted by Written Authorization
- The Foxborough Conservation Commission may allow or prohibit special activities such as weddings, outdoor dances, business lunch meetings, picnics, small religious or political gatherings and environmental education on conservation lands.
- The Foxborough Conservation Commission may license or lease, with proper authorization, its lands for agricultural or forestry use.
- The use of conservation lands for commercial activities is prohibited except by written authorization of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
Violators will be prosecuted.
The Foxborough Conservation Commission Manager is authorized to act
on behalf of the Foxborough Conservation Commission.
