Mission Statement
The Veterans' Agent administers the financial assistance program according to Mass General Laws, Chapter 115 and regulations set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Commissioner of Veterans' Services.
For all veterans who seek assistance from other state or federal agencies, the Veterans' Agent may serve as the veteran's representative to obtain needed services or aid.
Some of the services offered for Veterans by our office include:
- Emergency financial aid
- Assistance with Disability and Pension Claims from U.S. Dept. of Veterans Services
- Recording and custodial assistance for service records
- Referrals to Veterans Employment and Training services
- Assistance in applying for State Wartime Bonuses and annuities
- Counseling and referrals to other agencies
