The Board of Appeals is a three voting member board appointed in accordance with the Town of Foxborough General By-Laws and MGL 40A. The Board of Appeal hears and acts on petitions of administrative appeals, variances, special use permits and findings in accordance with Foxborough Zoning By-Laws, Article 11, Section 11.01. The Board of Appeals is also the permit granting authority for comprehensive permits as provided for under MGL 40(B).
The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing applications submitted for Findings, Special Use Permits, and Variances. These applications relate to the interpretation and administration of Foxborough's Zoning By-Laws.
The Board also hears appeals of the decision of the Building Commissioner. All decisions relating to the Building Commissioner's interpretation of the Zoning By-Laws may be appealed.
The Zoning Board of Appeals also hears and decides upon Comprehensive Permit Applications. These applications are made pursuant to the Chapter 40B of the Massachusetts General Laws and the Foxborough Zoning Board of Appeals Rules & Regulations. Questions regarding Comprehensive Permit Applications should be directed to the Town Planner, Marc Resnick.
Questions regarding the interpretation of the Zoning By-Laws should be directed to the Building Commissioner, William Casbarra.
Questions regarding the filing of applications, fees, and the Public Hearing process should be directed to the Town Planner, Marc Resnick or the Building Commissioner's Office.
All applications require a Certified Abutters List (Assessor's Office) and must first be stamped in at the Town Clerk's Office prior to bring submitted to the Building Commissioner's Office.
